to the information page about the Ho’ohui Hou retreat!
Inspired by my Hawaiian roots, I named this retreat with the words Ho’ohui, meaning “connect the dots” and Hou, which means “again.” Like ancient Polynesian voyagers using the stars (dots) to navigate, this retreat is designed to guide you through a journey of renewal and reconnection. Become aware of what you really want and need, find support in your own intuition and body and find joy in the life you are creating.

Just a little about me, your host. I live in Southern California and am so proud of my Hawaiian, Japanese and Filipino heritage. Don’t be surprised when I work some of my culture into the retreat as you discover the beauty in your own culture. I am about to be an empty nester and love seeing my three adult children expand and grow. I love making things: arts, crafts, woodworking, bread...the list can go on. I like dancing even if I’m not that great at it. And I love laughing!!
I’m a Trauma-Informed Somatic Integrated Coach with certifications in Mindset coaching and Somatic Coaching from two different institutions at the top of their field. Other Important Information
- Price includes accommodations, meals, activities but does NOT include airfare or transportation to California nor transportation to the venue.
- This is a no alcohol/no smoking/no drugs/no pets retreat
- There is no early check-in nor late check-out due to other retreats ending and starting before us.
- Cancellation policy: Full refund one week after sign up as long as it is still before September 20, 2024. Partial refund of whatever has been paid (full amount minus $400) after one week and before September 20, 2024. No refund if cancelled after September 20, 2024. Spot is transferrable if incoming guest is approved by host.
- Our venue is located in the Santa Rosa Plateau in S. California in an area called La Cresta. There are 5 major airports within 90 miles of our venue. Here they are in distance order:
- ONT (Ontario/LA/San Bernardino) 51 miles
- SNA (John Wayne/ Orange County Airport) 62 miles
- PSP (Palm Springs Airport) 73 miles
- SAN (San Diego Airport) 75 miles
- LAX (Los Angeles Airport) 88 miles
- Shortest mileage doesn’t always mean the quickest travel time! The easiest travel time/most direct route is from ONT (Ontario) about 50 minutes. ONT has direct flights from 26 cities. The next best option is SAN- the largest/most direct flights airport with the easiest road travel time, 65-80 minutes. Although LAX likely has the most air travel options, it is by far the most challenging due to unpredictable traffic.
